Start: Bus 91, Minibus 16, 103, 103M get off at Ng Fai Tin

End: Minibus 16 to Po Lam railway station

You would clamber up and down in the sections with gravel and steep slopes near the hilltop of High Junk Peak.

Beyond High Junk Peak at the junction near C3106 signpost, there is a side path on the left to Clear Water Bay Road.

Ng Fai Tin

The trail begins with a short flight of step beside the pavilion near the bus stop of Ng Fai Tin. It roughly follows the ridge uphill with a gentle ascent. Part of it is sylvan path at the initial section. Up ahead, you could overlook Tseung Kwan O, in contrast on the other side, emerald Sai Kung Sea and the islets nearby are within sight. Head the trail to Sheung Yeung Shan, it crosses some of the Mountain Bike Trails.

Branch: If start from Hang Hau, you could follow Hang Hau Road beside Tseung Kwan O Hospital. Up to the public car parks at the right roadside, join the concrete path on the right by starting the short flight of steps. Through the woods, it joins Clear Water Bay Road and then follow it to the right to Ng Fai Tin. It takes around 30 mins.

Sheung Yeung Shan / Miu Tsai Tun

Afterward, it gives a splendid vies over Sheung Sze Wan in the smooth section and High Junk Peak peers out at the front behind Miu Tsai Tun. Go ahead, take the left fork of the trail at the roadsign to Tai Miu (deviate from the Country Trail). The path follows the ridges of Miu Tsai Tun with gentle ascent and then becomes narrow. However, the hill is not high. Climbing up slowly, it comes to the hilltop. At the moment, High Junk Peak is towering at your front. From the view point, its peak seems to be even more sharp and be peculia with strong aura.

Branch: At the fork, you could follow the country trail on the right if do not climb up High Junk Peak.

Head the trail along the ridge of Miu Tsai Tun downhill towards High Junk Peak. Descending to the valley, it leads up steeply with gravel near the top. You could clamber up if required. After the climb, it arrives at the summit. There is sublime scenery around you. To the south, a spendid view of the coastal line of Clear Water Bay and the lush sylvan nearby could be seen. Looking far, Pacific Ocean is as far as the eye you can see. Even Ninepin Island appears in the distance to the southeast at a clear day. In contrast to the Tseung Kwan O industral area on the other side, the hill becomes a natural screen separating between the nature peace and the city hustle.

Note: You could clamber up and down in the sections with gravel and steep slopes near the hilltop of High Junk Peak.

Exit: At the valley before High Junk Peak, you could take the hidden side path on the right back to the Country Trail.

Tin Ha Shan

Follow the rough path downhill ahead, it is steeply down with a climb over rocks at the beginning section and then tames at the hillside. Passing through the woodland, it comes to the junction and joins to the Country Trail again. Head the wooded path, it winds southward roughly along the ridge with a good view of Clear Water Bay and the coastline. After descending to the valley, the path swings by a flight of stone steps up to the near top of Tin Ha Shan.

At the crest, grand view could be seen over Po Toi O fishing ground and Clear Water Bay golf course in the distance. Go ahead and take the flight of stone steps downhill in the final leg. You could overlook Tung Lung Chau just to the south and Tai Mui (a temple) on the right down during the descent. Afterward, it comes to the entrance of Clear Water Bay Golf Club. Follow Tai Au Mun Road to the left, then turn right at the junction of Po Toi O Chuen Road. It leads you down to the mini bus station of Po Toi O.

    Exit:
  1. After the downhill from High Junk Peak, at the junction of the Country Trail you could take the side path on the left that leads down to Clear Water Bay Road.
  2. At the valley before climbing up Tin Ha Shan, there is a path on the left to Tai Au Mun Road.

Summary

There are spendid views over the archipelago nearby, the indented coastline and the jade screen from the woodland of Clear Water Bay Peninsula. However, it is upset that the landfill there is likely to be expanded continuously against the Country Park. The sunset, the woodland, are sinking down.
